OOTD - Pink & Yellow

Dress - Handmade // Shoes - Bodyline // Cardigan - Simply Be // Tights - We Love Colors // Bracelet - Kuki Shop // Ring - Handmade // Bag - TKMaxx // Blouse - Evans // Hair Bow - ASOS

I finished off my dress yesterday, as the supplies finally arrived. I sewed this matching strawberry embroidered lace around the hem, & at the top of the dress. I also ordered some crochet strawberries, which although I could have made myself, I was lazy:P, I made those into a brooch & pinned it to the bust. Not major changes, but I think they finish off the dress nicely. Also you can now see the dress' sleeves, ugh they were a pain, & they're definitely not perfect, but not bad for my first go! The dress is also a bit low cut too, so I had to wear a blouse under, which negated the whole point of me adding sleeves was to prevent me needing a blouse or cardigan! Oh well!

Also tried to paint roses on my nails, apparently I suck at them! :( Haha! Definitely not my best nail art to date.

  13. You're a real talent! My mum was a tailor ... I don't know so much about this art, but I know that requires a big commitment and a great ability. You've got both of these things! (Sorry for my horrible english).

  14. You're the biggest lolita I've ever seen. If I found your blog and you were doing this 4 years ago, I would have felt. 500x more confident pulling it off than I actually was.

You look so amazing, and I love the dresses you're sewing. My style has changed since my Lolita-dreaming days, but maybe I should give the style another try into my wardrobe. :)

    Keep up the great work!

  30. Lovely dress ♥ I'm such a sucker for all things strawberry-ish!
For the low neckline-problem: you could just add a bit of fabric there, a kind of "bib", that fakes at being a blouse :) so you could really go without a blouse, i imagine it would be cooler :) (temperature wise)

  35. Thanks so much for your comments everyone!

Annika - I don't sew ALL my own clothes:P But I do find myself getting more & more into it, instead of wanting to buy a dress, these days I'd rather buy fabric & make my own.

Lisanne - It was made in Photoshop using mainly the pen tool :)

Becka - I didn't use a pattern. I've actually never used a pattern in my life, I find it (oddly) easier to just make it up as I go along. Sometimes I do look at the construction of my other clothes for help though.
