Odds & Ends

This last week has been quite dull outside, & cold. Snapped a few pics from my bedroom window of the snowy street & also lots of seagulls? They were all swooping outside the window & then settling on a lampost, rather odd behaviour I thought! Don't normally see seagulls, I don't live near the sea, but especially not lots of them flying like maniacs outside, maybe they don't like the cold either?

Been spending much too much recently too, placed a Topshop order & got these lovely sorbet coloured socks & old fashioned shoes. Even managed to snag a oversized pastel flecked snuggly cardi & it fits perfectly, in a 16! First thing I've ever bought from Topshop, clotheswise. Shame I can't buy anthing I like, have to stick to the stretchy oversized stuff for now! Also got a pretty peach lace dress from New Look Inspire, which suits my current love of candy colours!

Things still aren't great for me at the moment, but chin up I guess. Have been distracting myself not only by shopping, but by working on some new pieces for Dolly Darling. I am a little in love with my new headband, I've made one for me too! So expect to see it in an OOTD post soon :)

  5. Those socks are too cute for words!
Unfortunately I can relate to you when it comes to not being able to buy things because they don't made them in bigger sizes. It's very sad and frustrating to be so limited. It'd be great if retailers realized they're missing a lot of business by not having bigger sizes. Maybe you and other bloggers like you can make them wake up to this reality.

  10. That headband is so beautiful. It makes me think of Spring and new things, even in all this cold.

I like in a coastal town, so I'm really used to seagulls but you're right, sometimes they act very strangely. Also, they always remind me of Hitchcock's The Birds so they're definitely not my favorites!

  14. Those peachy socks are lovely. I never spend money on socks because I always manage to get holes in them, but I'm thinking now may be the time to invest (:

  15. Hi Georgina,

I'm a follower of your blog but I really feel that I need to tell you that I feel like your not living your life. Sitting indoors all the time and taking photos of your dogs is ok to a certain extent but it seems to be all you do. You are a young girl who dresses great and you should be out socialising with people your own age not necessarily out getting drunk or in nightclubs (if you want to do that its your choice) but doing stuff like shopping with friends or going to the cinema. I understand you suffer with mental health issues but you should try to take small steps to lead and active and fulfilled life. Going out with your sister or mam or meeting up with a fellow blogger in an informal situation could be great fun and a chance to develope new social skills. I don't mean to be rude or mean I just think you seem like a lovely young girl with your whole life ahead of you to enjoy and you should but I get sad reading your blog because you never post pictures with friends or say what you were upto during the week and I don't see a reason as to why you shouldnt x

    1. I think Annika said it all really. I'm her sister, and we do go out. Just because she may not post about it doesnt mean you have a right to interfere and nose around other peoples lives. All I can say Is back off and focus on yourself not others.
Ps. Do you really think your comment helped her at all? Because I can vouch that it hasn't!

    2. Errm, I blog, and never include what I do with friends, not because I have none or never go out, but because it isn't relevant to my blog, perhaps anonymous, you ought to get your own life and not come here trying to decide how or what georgina does with her own time or what she chooses to show us on her blog.

This blog is an inspiration to so many people and georgina is amazing!

      Get over yourself!!!

    3. Anon - I'd just like to point out how rude you actually were. I realise you said "I don't mean to be rude" but the fact is you were. The love of my life has mental illness, he blogs and NEVER includes details of his life on it. Why? Because he doesn't feel safe doing so. Anxiety is a big thing for him and having the extra paranoia of people knowing where he is, is crushing for him. Perhaps it is you who needs to "get a life" - you use your spare time to spread misery and unhappiness - perhaps it is you that needs to "get out once in a while". Don't comment on things you clearly DO NOT understand.

Georgina - You are gorgeous, your sister is as well. You are an inspiration to women all around the world (in fact I just ran into a highschool friend I haven't seen in YEARS and we got chatting about bloggers and had the OMG HAVE YOU SEEN CUPCAKES CLOTHES?!?!! moment - Hilarious!!!) Chin up babe!

Love from your Anonymous Aussie Girl ;)

.. you can't even share your name with us and yet you expect Georgina to share her entire life with you!?? .. what a strange little troll you are!

Chin up Georgina and keep being as sweet and perfect as you are!
Love your blog and shop xx

  16. Hey anonymous

I don't know who you are but I feel that I need to tell you that I feel like you are not living your life. Being judgemental and condescending seems to be all that you do. You should be out minding your own business and let people live their own lives however they please. I understand you suffer with being a bit of an a**hole but you should try and take small steps to being a nicer, more accepting person. I don't mean to be rude or mean I just think your comments are completely ridiculous and I get sad reading what you said because you seem to assume that everyone ought to live their lives in a way that pleases you x

  18. Your are so talented and creative and I am sooo happy I finally have some money to buy a ring from your Chrystal Collection *excited*!!
And I really don't see why people still think it is okay to interfere in other people life, everyone is allowed to live their life like they want!
