Hello everyone, thank you for visiting my blog! My name is Georgina, I am 21 years old & I live in England. Hobbies include, art, crafts & anything inbetween. I run an online jewellery store called Dolly Mixx, do check it out if you love cutesy accessories!
I decided to start this blog after being a regular poster on the Fatshionista LiveJournal community. Finding that community changed my whole outlook on life, I was fat (still am) & unhappy with myself (not so much now). I was amazed to find a place where fat people celebrated their bodies, instead of being ashamed. This was the first I had heard of Fat Acceptance. I started off by posting 1 outfit, then more & more as I wasn't hated just for being fat. My confidence grew & grew, until I decided to start a blog so I could have my own space showcasing outfits.
My confidence has grown tenfold over the past year, just by posting photos of myself & showing off my outfits. My style is very unique, I love to mix & match key trends with my own cute/quirky twist. Not everyone will like it, but it is inherently me & I love dressing only for myself! I love lace, bows, velvet & fur. My wardrobe is a rainbow of colours, I love most things from neutrals to brights!

You know, it's very cool that you disided to create tihs blog!!) You're very nice and style!))
ReplyDeleteGeorgina, how are you? aww I think you are too cute and the clothes look lovely. I did not know about Asos till you and I like the stuff but I was wondering what size are you bc the biggest size I see available is 14. Please help! pinkdotties@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI am some fat too, but I love it & think that you are very cool!) I'd like to be as you)))
ReplyDeleteYou have many clothes and beautiful face) I think that you'll be look worst if you become thinner.
Hi! My name is Nastya, I'm from Russia, I'm 19 years old. Today I find your blog and I want to say this is cool what you do! I think you help a lot of people to become attractive. When I was child I was fat and I wore only black clothes but you prove to me that person can be fat and can be good-looking.))))))))))))))))
ReplyDeleteYou are beautiful, inside and out.
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog, you are an inspiration!
ReplyDeleteyou're so fresh and talanted!
ReplyDeletefrom russia with love )
Beautiful! I've been searching far too long for a blogger such as yourself. I never knew where to look for a connection to other big girls who love fashion. Just today I declared I would start my own if I could find the courage. Finding your blog today was the push I needed! So thank you for being who you are.
ReplyDeleteHello, Georgina! I'm Veronica, I live in Russia. Here I saw your blog and decided to write a comment. You are very clever! Absolutely not ashamed, and live, as well as any skinny wally! You have wonderful taste itself you are very beautiful. You look perfectly. I would not give 20 if it had not read the questionnaire.
ReplyDeleteGood luck in your hobby.
Hello Georgina! I think u`re so brave! I like u & ur style. Also i decide to tell to all my friends about u & ur blog (http://alexandraters.livejournal.com/5406.html). & i wish u good luck))) u`re wellcome!
ReplyDeleteHello, I am from Russia, my friends and me enjoy your blog. You are very lovely girl, your blog is positiv. So write more. :))
ReplyDeletenothing wrong with being big, but you know you are SO young.Instead of spending money with clothes I rather spend it trying to lose a few pounds, your confidence would grow more and plus you would be more healthy!
ReplyDeleteI think it's not the way look, Its the way you feel - this is more important. But obviously you have problems with health. I would recommend you to stress this point. Clothes is not so important. Take care of your weight.
ReplyDeleteThis is not sarcasm. Im serious.
Georgina, it's wonderful that you don't feel shy! anyway, don't you think, that loosing weight could also be as interesting as posting your style photos? I always express sympathy with diseased people and hope you'll solve your problems, because you're a deserving person!
ReplyDeleteYou are a very sick person just to come to someone's blog and call them "diseased" just by looking at her pics. Are you an online Doctor with the ability to read people's health thru the computer?
DeleteYou need help. Obviously you are a very insecure person.
Hey, I'm from Latvia, just found your blog and I'm amazed by how cute you look :) I really like your style, it's so positive, and I think it's worth to learn this from you :)
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely STUNNING! I stumbled upon your blog this past week and you have provided me with so many shopping options that I didn't know existed. If you ever come to Hollywood - we're going shopping!
ReplyDeleteI'm reading a few of the recent comments - I cannot stand how people think being big makes you a "diseased" person. I was big my entire life - 5'6 and 180lbs when I was 10. Topped out at 300lbs when I was 22. I'm now a size 16, run 3 miles 5-days a week, do Bikram yoga 2 times a week, and work with a personal trainer. I take advantage of the weather here in Los Angeles and live a VERY active lifestyle. Yet people still look upon me with pity (meanwhile I'm in better shape than most).
I'm sick of women that are bigger than a size 14 being treated as second class citizens. Bigger does not mean unhealthy. Bigger does not mean pity me. Bigger does not mean shame.
We are not "diseased people" looking for sympathy of any sort. Accept us as you would any other human being because I feel sympathy for anyone who does not or cannot.
Holy Crap Girl! You totally rock your style! So darn cute! Keep it up! What Style!
ReplyDeleteWhen people see someone who is so fat like you, of course they think you are sick! Because there is no other excuse to be this big! And it is a disease, because it is really unhealthy. And no, it doesn not look good, because you look abnormal. I don't wanna be mean, but i just can't accept this, and she was right, you should do excersice instead of blogging. Take care of yourself for god's sake, you are only 20!
ReplyDeleteYou are a very mean person. Not only you come to a blog about a girl accepting herself for what she is but you insulted her calling her names like "abnormal" and "sick" as if you are some sort of perfect being. If you don't like her, don't read her. Diet and exercise are indeed important, and we all should try to eat well and have a healthy lifestyle. But you don't know people circumstances and just judge a book by it's cover.
DeleteI definitely thing Georgina is an inspiration for manny girls out there that are bullied all the time by people like you. I'm very sure you are a very insecure person, just someone insecure come to another people blog and insult them just to make a point.
You are very ugly on the inside.
Where do you find these clothes?!
ReplyDeleteI'm 18, and from your photos it looks like we're about the same size. I'm tired of only wearing jeans and black tee shirts, and I'd love to find some more colorful clothing that works with my body.
If you have time, send me an e-mail, I'd love to talk to you!
StephKatzPhotos@aol.com
you are wonderful! a performance artist and a fine lady. i love your outfits and your sense of style and sense of humor and drama together.
ReplyDeleteCongrats for your achievement Georgina! You have great style and it's so nice to know that you love yourself just the way you are; everyone should do exactly the same. Being self-conscious and knowing how much we are worth is the most important thing ever... You're doing a great job, don't stop!
ReplyDeleteGeorgina I love your style, you look so cute and you seem to be a realy nice girl. Best regards from Poland :)

I like your style and your photos. I also like that you're so.. I don't know i like it so much!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a lot of concern trolling! Just ignore them. You have a unique and cute style, and you seem like a lovely person. So long as you are happy in your own life there will always be people who see that happiness and just want to find some way to destroy it. I hope you won't let them get under your skin. You are worthwhile and loveable exactly as you are and no one has the power to make you feel bad unless you give them that power. Keep believing in yourself and keep enjoying life.
ReplyDeleteHi Georgina!
ReplyDeleteI'm from France and i am also a big girl. I want to say that what you do (blogging and buy clothes) is cool and this show a lot of courage.
But I think that you call your "confidence" is not totally a good thing (i'm not telling you this for being bad because i respect you). The confidence that you have win should help you to loose weight because even if a size does not represent the health of a person, it is not very healthy to be that big. I'm sorry if i disturb some people but it is right being too fat is not healthy (as being too thin). Having exercise is a good way to being more confident ;)Anyway if you are happy and you think that you will be happy forever like that it's okay, just a choice. (it's easier to loose weight when you are young).
I will not teling you that you are beautiful because it's remind me my own problems but your style is very very original and i appreciate your courage ;)
Hi Georgina!
ReplyDeleteI was captivatedwhen i saw you!
You are really very beautiful and cool!)
Lovely blog and lovely you :)

ReplyDeleteSome people are just awfully rude! My goodness! People should really think before commenting, if she wasn't confident, some of those comments could really push someone over the edge. Shame on you!
ReplyDeleteGeorgina, you're an absolute star and inspiration, I wish I had the confidence to be like you and be happy in my own skin. Thank you for being you. x
i just started reading your blog i love it =)
ReplyDelete<33
firstly Georgina ur such a confident and strong woman with a great sense of style and belief in yourself. Whats wrong with that?! people making ignorant comments about weight only exposes them being unhappy with their own bodies. someone said Georgina looks 'abnormal'?!? what?? firstly i dont know if u need glasses or a dictionary. Secondly what is a person like u doing reading this blog?! please keep ur preaching to urself, it is uninvited, uncalled for, rude and IGNORANT!

hello!
ReplyDeleteI love your style, you show to the world that it's not necessary to be skinny to be attractive , trendy and pretty.
Best wishes from France
Georgina, you're gorgeous and an inspiration - like everyone else here who has common-sense, I would say ignore the trolls who only display their own ignorance when it comes to health, body acceptance and size. They sound ridiculous and makes me think of some racist yokel perhaps gatecrashing a political science class? Yeah. Keep doing what you're doing. I think it's a testament to your self-confidence that you haven't deleted and bombed the a$$es off these losers. I would have. <3
ReplyDeleteCute Blogue! Adorable Style! Keep it up :)
ReplyDeleteadore your self esteem, wonderful! stylish! an inspiration!
ReplyDeleteyou are a role model for skinny girls who keep on dieting and still feel unhappy
Celebration of fat, what's so inspiring about that? People who try hard to lose on weight struggle everyday, that's insipiring.
ReplyDeleteThe author is a free human, she can do whatever she wants, but all your comments give her false self-confidence. I appreciate her effort because it's hard to look good in such size. I just don't get your arguments, such as "a role model for skinny girls who keep on dieting and still feel unhappy". Didn't she wrote that she still feels bad in her own body?
This is unnecessarily mean. If you're so against what Georgina stands for, why are you even visiting this blog, let alone commenting on it? She's inspiring because, despite people like you and other trolls, she wears what she likes and looks fantastic doing it. She lets other girls know society and it's rules are not worth getting depressed over, that there's no point wearing black if that's not what you want and hiding your body is pointless when people will hate you regardless. If you find weight loss stories inspiring, that's fantastic, good for you, but others find them triggering, upsetting and a reminder of what they failed to do, even if it wasn't their own fault (95% of dieters eventually gain the weight back.) Also, there's no such thing as "false self-confidence" it's not awarded to a person on account of how slim/pretty they are, it's something which you either have or you don't, regardless of how you look or act. It's a state of mind, which can never be false. I honestly think you're troubled someone you deem "imperfect" is happier than you are.
Deleteignore the hate.
ReplyDeleteyour beautiful inside and out:)
you have an amazing fashion sense, i only found your blog tonight and i love it! your nail tips are amazing!:)<3
xx
First, I want to say Georgina that I'm so happy that I found your blog. One thing that caught my eye was that you love what you blog about. Its good to see that you post up pictures of yourself trying out new clothes, and being very creative. I'm a plus size girl and I've always had issues with accepting my body, even when i was a small size it still had problems, More that i live in Los Angeles its hard to be who you are, I do work out, I have a cute little family but just to see a plus size girl try out clothes that I would not think of wearing, has inspired me to take a risk. Try out new clothes and just have fun! I see that some people have left you some RUDE comments, you just have to use that as a push to keep doing what your doing, don't let them put you down. You touch a nerve and its making them think and maybe they have there own issues... If you can see most of the comments are females that LOVE what your doing! Please dont change and keep it up! LOVE FROM LOS ANGELES CALIFORNIA!!!!
ReplyDeletemaybe you are fat, but you´r amazing, i like your blog so much..xoxo
ReplyDeletePeople struggling everyday to lose weight isn't inspiring at all - its pathetic. Why struggle and torment yourself to be something you aren't naturally when life is so short any way?! skinny or fat doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things - just live your life and be happy regardless :o)
ReplyDeleteПотрясающее! Я восхищена
ReplyDeleteHi there, cutie!
ReplyDeletePeople often think that far aren`t fashionable. But I always denied that until I found your blog. You gave a strong belief and now I have an excellent proof that everybody looks great - you just need to find your style.
With ypur blog I helped my plump friend. She`s very happy now, every day checking news from Georgina.
Thank you! =*
hi my name is Josie, love your cute outfits do you make them I love to sew!! love your style and you look so darling!!!
ReplyDeleteSay hello to your new and also fat reader from the Philippines :)
ReplyDeleteI especially love your photo here! I love the top and skirt! :)
Hi Georgina:
ReplyDeleteI usually check out your blog and love your style. I rarely post, but today, after reading some very hateful comments I need to.
You know, am very happy for your decision to show yourself on your blog and for enjoying life thru fashion the way you do. I know this world is full with mean, insecure people that will point fingers at you just because you don't look a certain way. It's very easy to judge you when they don't even know you. It really makes me sick to my stomach to read some people pretty much being hurtful and sugar coating their evilness saying they are concerned with your health but insulting you instead of being positive and supportive.
I'm proud of you and your thick skin and please, keep up this great blog that helps so many people accept themselves at the same time they enjoy your fashion.
Lots of love.
love the fact that you inspire so many people xxx
