Really want these pieces! The shoes are to die for, the dress is super cute, and the top, whilst not something I would normally go for, is really cute with it's lace detailing & pastel colour. It's from the Limited Collection @ Yours, which generally features more trend led pieces than the rest of their products. Unfortunately this also means they come with a bigger price tag, but's it's not much different to the prices other plus size retailers charge.

Did another illustration! (Sorry if you don't like them). This one isn't an outfit of the day, although I do own the dress and the shoes. I also have my eye on that cardigan, it's so cute & I don't have a polka dot cardigan! It's really fun drawing real life garments, as opposed to made up things like I normally do. Hope you all enjoy this as much as I do!

I don't know, what do you think? Are OOTD illustrations interesting? Should I do more?

Cardigan - New Look Cami - Evans Skirt - ASOS Tights - Ebay Shoes - New Look Belt - Evans Necklace - Birthday Present
Thought I would post pictures of my lovely new skirt, the one I posted about the other day in my "Cute Coral" post. It arrived the other day, and I got the chance to wear it today. It was a lovely day today- nice and warm for a change. The skirt is super cute & looks great worn high on the waist. However the elasticated waistband isn't that pretty, so I covered it with a belt, which I think looks quite cute? The colour is actually more orangey than appears here, it's a true coral, in between pink and orange. The fit is perfect, I wore it around my waist which is a size 26, so this is true to it's sizing, but due to the elastic I can also wear it around my hips quite comfortably, and they are a size 30, according to Evans sizing charts.
I got a chance to take photos outside today - well actually they are just a few quick snaps a family member took. I wish I could take more photos outside, but I feel kinda silly setting up a tripod in public, as we don't have our own garden (the one in the first pic is my grandparent's).
As you can see the second picture doesn't have the nicest setting (this is right outside our front door), but my skirt looked pretty blowing in the wind, and you can also see how see through this skirt is. I tried layering it with a white top to start with, but it showed through a lot. I think I may need to wear a half slip underneath if I want to pair it with anything but black. This probably means that if you wanted to wear it without the legwear, you might be revealing more than you would like!
All in all, a good buy for £20, I really do love this skirt!

Is anyone else loving the coral colour that also seems to be in this Spring? I really love it, in fact I already have the cardigan from this post, and I've just placed my order for the skirt & dress! And I do really love both the bag & the sandals, so I might just cave & get those too!
Coral is such a funny colour. Not quite a bright & not quite a pastel. Not quite a pink & not quite an orange.

Well actually this is an outfit from another day, but oh well! I wore this to go trekking round the supermarket, it was lovely & comfy, but I still felt smart. This dress is actually a new purchase from New Look (yes I know I said I was going to try to avoid the place, but shh!). I couldn't resist this cute floral dress at £22, and I am glad I didn't, because 2 days after coming online it was sold out in the size 24 & 26. You have to grab stuff fast on New Look.
It is pretty in real life, & perfect for Spring/Summer. And for £22 you can't go wrong. The skirt is even lined, and it has sweet sequin embellishments embroidered on. You can't really see them in photos, but they are visible in person. This dress does make me look rather hippy (not hippy as in the 60s flower power etc, but hip hippy), but I do have big hips, so it is not the dress's fault. Not that there is even anything wrong with big hips!
Oh oh, and the dress even has pockets! SO useful- I didn't need to take a bag with me for a change, just kept my purse in a pocket.

For this award I would like to tag-
I've been wanting to take photos of this dress for ages, but only just got around to it. Yes, you have already seen it here, but this is the nude & black version, which I think I may have mentioned I swapped with my sister? I'm not sure, but anyway, my sister bought this dress, decided she has nothing to go with it, & swapped it with me because I preferred it over my black version. You can't really tell in these photos, but the nude trim is not that white, it is a much deeper pinky peach. My camera likes to bleach things out!
I do really love this dress, it is really comfortable, & the trim adds a really cute touch. The bust and underskirt are made of a stretchy jersey, so it works for bigger bodies than the sizing suggests. You can dress it up or down, as you can see in the photos I've dressed it up with my huge bow! I do love bows! The length is rather short, but I am 5"8 & I don't mind short things anyway!

Over the past few days ASOS has been adding quite a few new things to their Curve collection. This lace up mac and coral dress have caught my eye! They also come in other colours, which is always nice to see. Also new in are various t-shirts, a nautical inspired cardigan, a few more dresses, mesh leggings, and it seems ASOS are even branching into plus size swimwear!
Hopefully we will continue to see more & more great items, which will be bad for my bank balance, but great news for fatshion as a whole. It's nice to have somewhere else to shop too, I have been keeping my eye on Evans, but nothing has come up recently that I really MUST buy, despite some of their promising previews. I am really despairing at all those new skirts they keep adding- at almost floor length, they aren't exactly for the fashion hungry. Really want to see some cute, SHORT, skirts! I did manage to snag a pair of oxford heels in their sale, & got an additional 20% off too! They cost me a mere £12, despite being made of real leather!
I was super busy yesterday altering all my clothes that didn't fit right. Although actually the aim was for all, but I only managed to alter 3 pieces! Still have a couple more to go (including that ASOS tshirt dress- arrgh I should get on with that!) I managed to alter a pair of bootcut black cords into skinnies, sewed together a top which gaped at the bust, and turned a really ill fitting sweater into a much nicer zip up jacket. Photos to come soon- I only managed to take super bad ones yesterday! I also have some new purchases to show off, so do check back for a more picture happy update.

I'm sure some of you have seen the amazing illustrations by Melody Moore on Fatshionista. I did, and when I saw her blog post that she'd love some fatshionistas to volunteer to be drawn, of course I put my hand up! And look at the fabulous job she has done drawing some of my recent purchases, the controversial Dorothy Perkins cullottes, and my cute New Look cardigan! You should all definately check out her blog!

Cardigan - South @ Littlewoods Top - Evans Skirt - Remixed Evans Necklace - DIY Shoes - New Look
I finished my wholesale order so I'll hopefully have a lot more free time to post now. Not that I haven't been posting-I've had quite a lot to say this past week, & there's still more I want to do/say. Thought I would post an OOTD, as I haven't for a while (unless you count the photos of me trying on new clothes).
Anyway... I really quite like this outfit. The cardigan is amazing, I fell in love as soon as I saw it. I've actually got it in red as well, and am contemplating buying the other 2 colours it comes in (blue & white). The skirt is a second hand Evans one I bought off Ebay and altered so it was a lot shorter. It originally came past the knee, which isn't for me. Unless it is a maxi dress I don't do below the knee hemlines! I made the necklace myself, it looks like it is part of my top.
I started this blog pretty near enough a month ago, and I have had lots of lovely comments, and have got 29 followers so far, I never thought I get so many in such a short space of time. I can only hope that this blog grows bigger and better, & you all enjoy reading it!
To say thank you, I've decided to hold a giveaway! The prize will be a custom necklace similar to the one featured in my outfit. Just a leave a comment on this entry & you will be automatically entered. To gain a second entry, post a blog entry about this giveaway & post a second comment with a link to your entry! The entries should be submitted by 12pm GMT Saturday. A random number will be chosen as the winner. Good luck!
