♥ Pink & Lilac

HANDMADE SKIRT // RIVER ISLAND JUMPER // REPURPOSED EVANS COLLAR // CAMBRIDGE SATCHEL // HANDMADE HEADBAND // LE BUNNY BLEU SHOES // PRIMARK GEM RING // EVANS BOW RING

Hey everyone! I'm back from North Wales now, got home yesterday evening. I thought I'd share my first outfit post of the trip. I packed lots of thick knitwear in the end, & my handmade wool skirt (from which I have chopped the scallops off since you last saw it, looks much better I think?) to keep myself warm.
t
Wore a new Nails Inc polish (TK Maxx, 4 for £15), Park Lane, which is a really pretty pinky purple glitter. It came in a pack with 3 other glitters, which usually I avoid, because removing them is not fun, haha! Anyway, I had a lovely time, hope you've had a nice few weeks too!

♥ 5 Awesome Etsy Finds I For Some Reason Haven't Bought Yet

I love these cute cross stitch samplers from Magasin, I just don't know why I haven't bought one! They would look great on my picture wall, & add to my Magasin collection (I already own a ring & some badges!).

A vintage puppy planter. My sister just bought one, & I am so jealous. Tacky, but delightfully cute!

These handmade deer miniatures are by Australian artist Lilly Piri, & are styled after vintage pull toys! So adorable, I desperately want one!

Combine embroidery hoops with miniatures & you get this adorable necklace by Dandelyne. Want!

Last but not least, this sweater guard by one of my fave bloggers, Kate Gabrielle, has been sitting in my cart for ages now & I don't know why! Next time I have the funds, I am going to finally press checkout!

Hope you all enjoyed this list,

♥ Flamingoes & Kittens

ASOS CURVE SKIRT // EVANS BLOUSE // MONSOON CARDIGAN // HANNAH ZAKARI BROOCH, BOW & NECKLACE* // LE BUNNY BLEU SHOES

I took these pics absolutely ages ago, at the start of summer. I put together a lolita-esque outfit with the ASOS flamingo skirt (which is a bit longer than I would have liked it, maybe I'll redo the waistband at some point!). Apparently this is when my obsession with kittens/cats started, my headbow is in fact the Luna Scarf  & has a large persian cat on it, haha. If you look even closer, you can see that my brooch also has a kitten on it. I think I might need some help, eek :P I should probably also stop going on about kittens too, you probably all already think I'm mad! You might not be wrong ;)

♥ Red Riding

See, I said I might be a little obsessed with kittens, I'm adding them to drawings now, haha! I even bought a pair of kitten mittens the other day, which are awesome, but also support this disturbing cute trend of mine :P Anyway, I'm on holiday now, so probably either A. Freezing to death in my impractically packed clothes, or B. Marvelling at the sunshine, but still probably freezing to death, haha!

Glad you all enjoyed the tut, if you end up making the ears, do send me a pic, I'd love to see!

♥ Kitty Ears Tutorial

Step One - Gather all your supplies, as pictured above. I would recommend the ribbon to be about 10mm wide, but it's really up to you. I used basic satin ribbon, but you can use pretty much any type. The decorations can also be pretty much anything, not just pearls, but diamantes, flower cabochons, tiny buttons, funky beads, anything you like.

Step 2 - Cut a length of wire about 20cm long. Wrap around your headband where you want the ears to start, as pictured.

Step 3 - After wrapping, bend the wire into a basic kitty ear shape, & then secure at the other end by wrapping it around the headband again.

Step 4 - Repeat on other side.

Step 5 - If your wire is quite thin, you might want to consider repeating the last 2 steps & adding a second layer of wire over the top of your kitty ear, just to strengthen it.

Step 6 - Now cut a length of ribbon, approximately 30 cm or so, & glue the end to the start of the wire. Then wrap around the headband & up onto the "ear" wire, glueing to secure as you go along.

Step 7 - Keep going until you have completely covered all the wire. Repeat for other ear.Remember to keep glueing the ribbon down as you wrap, or it will unravel!

Step 8 - Cut 2 little lengths of ribbon, about 6cm long, & glue over the ends of the headband.

Step 9 - Now gather a long bit of ribbon, around a metre, & glue to the end of your headband. Then start wrapping, covering the entire headband base. Glue the ribbon down as you go.

You should have something that looks like this when you are done!

Step 10 - The fun part! Glue your decorations onto the ear sections. I used 18 pearls & spaced them out along the wire, but you could completely cover them if you wanted. Or alternate diamantes and pearls, etc etc!

Done! Hope that was helpful to some of you, & do ask if there's anything I haven't made clear!

♥ Kitty Ears

LITTLEWOODS SKIRT // ASOS TOP // NEXT CARDIGAN // ASOS SHOES // TOPSHOP SOCKS // HANDMADE KITTY EARS HEADBAND // HANDMADE DOLLY RING // DOLLY DARLING RAINBOW OPAL RING // DOLLY DARLING TEACUP RING // TKMAXX BAG // HANNAH ZAKARI NECKLACE* // PRIMARK OVAL GEM RING //EVANS DIAMANTE BAND RINGS

My outfit from yesterday. My normal mix of frills, flowers & lace. I also think I might have the beginnings of an aesthetic obsession with all things cat/kitten. Eek! I made the headband myself, you can't really see it too well in these pics, but it's inspired by an ASOS one. I'll make a tut if anone's interested? (with better pics :P).
                                                            ---
I'm off back up to North Wales on Saturday, so I'll be away from then until the end of the month. I am planning some scheduled posts to go up whilst I'm gone, & will be back with lots of lovely outfit posts (Wales has the most lovely scenery to take pics in!). Still dreading packing though, I really do detest it! If anyone fancies lending a hand, I wouldn't say no, haha!

♥ Flower Tattooed Girls

Recently I've been drawing again, these are a couple of pictures I did the other day. They are gouache & ink, then I layered a scan of the flowers I pressed on holiday over the top, which I think almost look like tattoos. I've done a few more in a slightly different style, which I'll upload soon too. I'd forgotten how relaxing drawing can be, just spending a few hours away from the world!

♥ Tartan Hearts

HANDMADE SKIRT// ASOS SHOES // ASOS CURVE BLOUSE // EVANS CARDIGAN // TOPSHOP SPIKED HEADBAND // EVANS BOW RING // PRIMARK GEM RING // REPUBLIC HEART RING //  FUR HEART BAG FROM WELSH GIFTSHOP

Today's outfit, I wore it to go & visit my sister. The weather's gotten bad enough again that I can wear wool skirts & not feel at all uncomfortable, which I suppose is a good thing, seeing I was getting a bit bored of my spring/summer wardrobe. I always feels like that though, when it's Winter  can't wait for Summer, & vice versa. Can't win! Anyway, hope you are all having a nice Sunday :)
