Also couldn't resist this gorgeous sewing box from BHS. All the shops seem to be putting up christmassy gift type items already, esp BHS. The shopping centre I go to was really busy. I guess it's going to be like that all the way up to Christmas. I think I might do my gift buying online this year, I'm not keen on crowds!
Also got some cute jewellery from Primark, I find the jewellery in there to be comparable quality to any other high street store, just much cheaper. I only spent £13 on this lot (incl a bow not pictured).
My other bargain of the day was finding these Nails Inc polishes at TKmaxx for only £15 each. Their polishes are normally like £10 each, obv sets are slightly cheaper, these were retailing at £25 originally, so still a big saving!
I did look in the 2 stores that stock clothes in my sizes (New Look & an Evans concession in BHS), but neither had anything much to offer. The things I had my eye on from new look.com, weren't in the store:( I really hope to one day be able to go clothes shopping in my local town & actually have more than 2 stores to choose from!
ooohh gorgeous jewellery - I never go in Primark cos they don't do plus sizes (or do they now?).
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on only having two shops to buy clothes from, its really frustrating!! I'm sure my neighbours get so fed up with my parcels of clothes being delivered to them cos I'm never in when they arrive.

Debbie - Not that I know of. I only go in Primark to look at the accessories! I think my neighbours must get fed up with me too, as I live above a shop, & I get my parcels delivered to them if I don't answer the door. Luckily my Mum was friends with most of them before we lived here, so they don't mind too much!

ReplyDeleteI love rings and bracelets from Primark but I really don't think they'd fit. I'm scared to try them on in store incase I get one stuck on me! :O
ReplyDeleteEvelyn - Tkmaxx is always really hit & miss, I just got lucky this time!
ReplyDeleteSharlie - I find a size L in most high street stores to fit me perfectly, they are 19mm diameter, equivalent to a size 9, which is fairly large. Maybe you could try Evans, their jewellery is very generously sized, I find their bangles fall straight off my wrists, & in their rings I wear an S.
That picture of Opia stuff made me miss London even more.. I wish the Primark came to the Czech republic :P

ReplyDeleteGeorgina, I agree about Evans jewellery I think some if it is ridiculously big. The bangles fall halfway down my hands and are really irritating. I also find the fact that they have triple E fitting on their shoes as standard really annoying because they're just too wide. I usually buy a size down the stop the shoes slopping around but then they pinch my toes. I don't understand why they can be so far off course with these sizings. Surely I'm not alone with this as I am at the larger end of Evan's sizing range? (Sorry - mini rant there!!)

Debbie - I'm exactly the same. I wear an S for their rings, an M for belts, & also size down for shoes. But then I can't get my legs in their boots/tights? I don't understand how I could be so out of proportion..? :P
