♥ Pink Dalmatian ♥

HAND EMBELLISHED ASOS COAT // CAMBRIDGE SATCHEL // LE BUNNY BLEU FLATS // ASOS BOW // ASOS DRESS // VERY BLOUSE // DOLLY DARLING OPAL QUARTZ RING // OTHER RINGS UNKNOWN

Just before Christmas, I sewed some dalmatian fur to my old pink coat, & have only just got round to taking pictures. These were take up in Wales, unfortunately the last of my Wales pics, but oh well! I also have a little detachable fur collar I made to go with it ages ago, but I forgot to put it on for the pics.

A lot of my outfits in Wales no one ever saw, for it was pretty cold & I wore my coat most of the time. So this is what's underneath, a dress that I got from Charlotte, layered with my frilly blouse from Very. I didn't get good pics of my shoes, but they are my trusty bunny flats you've seen many times before.

One morning whilst we were up in Wales, a strange noise woke me up. It was a weird scratching noise, I thought it might be rats fighting (do they do that?) outside the door, but it turned out to be this little chap, who seemed pretty eager to get to the bird feeders! Unfortunately he did not succeed, although he came back about 4 or 5 times to try his luck. I ended up putting a bun on the windowsill for him, since he seemed so desperately hungry, haha! He didn't come back after that, so he must have appreciated it :P

♥ Flamingo Poppy ♥

EVANS DRESS // H&M CARDIGAN // ASOS BAG // CLARKS SHOES* // VINTAGE FLORAL BROOCH // DOLLY DARLING DEER BROOCH // MERRYFIELD POTTERY PINK WAFER BROOCH // HANDMADE POPPY CROWN

Hey everyone :) It's been almost 2 weeks since I last blogged, oops! I didn't mean to leave it so long, but haven't really felt in the mood for it recently. Yesterday I took some outfit pics for you all, it was bloody freezing, & also very windy, despite the sunshine. I may have dressed a little summery for the actual weather, eek!

I got sent these lovely suede mary janes from Clarks, which I am really pleased with. The heel height is perfect for me, I really cannot walk in anything higher than 2.5 inches, haha! Charlotte actually got sent these too, we both picked the same pair, but hers are in black, they also do them in a greyish pink/purple colour. I really like the mustard, but I've been finding it so hard to style! I need more colours that go with mustard, any tips?

The dress is an old one, you've seen it before if you've read my blog for a long time. It's by Ruby Belle, & was part of a limited collection at Evans in 2009(?). Sorry about the creases, it wrinkles really easily! Grr! I really wish Evans would do stuff like this more, but I suppose I have ASOS for the trendy stuff. I haven't bought anything but tights from Evans for years now.

Anyway, I'm actually off to North Wales again tomorrow, so I really should go & pack now, haha! I will be back on the 24th, so after that I should have lots of new posts for you, since I get the chance to take a lot more pics up there.

♥ Handmade Art Brooches ♥

one // two // three

Just wanted to share what I've been working on the past couple of days! I was sorting through all my craft supplies (of which I have a lot, haha!), & was inspired to make these little brooches. They are all based on pieces of my artwork, you might recognize a couple of them. Do you like them?

♥ Woodland Doll

ASOS CURVE SKIRT // ASOS BAG // H&M JUMPER // OFFICE SHOES // DOLLY DARLING HEADBAND // HANDMADE COLLAR // CHEAP FRILLS BROOCH

This outfit is the first one I've really liked for ages, I haven't really felt very "me" for the last few. I find it hard in winter because I feel like I can't wear pastels, which is silly really, but as it's now February, & nowhere near almost Spring, I went full on floral pastel goodness.

The skirt I swapped off Charlotte a while back, been waiting for a chance to wear it! I also wore out my deer headband, which I do love! My bag is my trusty ASOS satchel, & my shoes, which you can't really see, are mint patent pointy flats, with pink flowers on them, which I got from Office last summer.

I also wore my handmade collar, & new brooch I bought from Cheap Frills. I had a kind of woodland animal theme going with my accessories, haha! Anyways, hope you like it, I'm off to do some more crafting!

♥ Crafting

As well as terrariums, I've made a few other things recently. This gem collar I made the other day, with pink felt & about a million plastic gems. I recycled the rectangular ones from old jewellery, & I think I picked the other ones up at Dunelm Mill for a £1 a packet. Anyway, I like it, it's very sparkly, hehe!

I also did my first ever commissions  this month, & did these paintings of a readers dog (Hi Ashley!). She recieved them the other day & seemed to like them, so yay. Her dogs are so cute, I love their big ears, haha!

♥ Kittens, Fur & Hearts

ASOS COAT // HANDMADE SKIRT // ASOS SHIRT // H&M JUMPER // SUZY SMITH BAG // DOLLY DARLING HAIR BOWS // ASOS SHOES // EVANS TIGHTS // RING BORROWED FROM CHARLOTTE // CHEAP FRILLS CAT NECKLACE*

It's been bloody freezing in England lately, so for I dressed up warm yesterday, with woolen tights, a wool skirt, fuzzy jumper & furry coat (which was a christmas gift from my lovely grandparents♥). I definitely didn't feel the chill at all! Although there's no snow in these photographs, there is still quite a bit around that hasn't melted yet, along with icy pavements. Hopefully it will warm up soon, I'm sick of wintery clothes now :P

♥ Dolls & Dogs

Hey again everyone ♥ I' haven't posted for ages (well, for me anyway). So much for updating more regularly! I just wanted to show you all a few random photos/bit & pieces. I made this doll the other day. it's based on this drawing I did a while back. I've always loved dolls, I have a fairly large collection haha, & after making those rag dolls for my cousins & the little one for my Mum, I thought I would make myself one. Vain much?, making one in my own likeness, but oh well :P

Look at my wonderfully wonky stitching! I often seem to daydream whilst sewing, & when I return to reality, I look down & of course my sewing has gone off track. Not the most recommended way to sew, to be honest :P

She has a fully pose-able tail, which was made with the help of a pipecleaner.

Button also wanted to get in on my photoshoot, although he doesn't like looking directly at the camera, haha!

Here in the UK it's been snowing a lot recently, which is why I haven't had an OOTD to show you recently (hopefully will get to take one this weekend!), but the doggies rather like it! The 2 little ones weren't sure at first, as it was their first experience of snow, but I made them go out in it & they ran around like hyper maniacs. I took these pics as it was starting to snow the other day, how adorable to they all look (well actually Button looks a bit evil in his, haha!)

Anyway, hopefully back tomorrow/the next day with an outfit for you all :)

♥ Pretty Things

♥ Dolly Darling Deer Headband, Pierrot Ring & Animal Brooch

These are some of the things I recently been making for Dolly Darling, amongst others, but these are my absolute faves, so I made some extras for me too! Expect the deer headband in an outfit soon :P I've also started offering custom pet portraits, a la the ones from this post, as so many of you seemed to like them :)

I got this lovely perfume tray & bottles for Christmas, from my mum, which is perfect for holding most of my scenty things, including with the Katy Perry Purr Perfume I got from Charlotte ♥

I know I mentioned being on a 5 item shopping limit for January, but it's only the 6th & I have already spectacularly failed at it! I ended up buying this dresser from Ikea for my craft room (only £50!!), but of course at Ikea you have to buy more than one thing :P

I also bought some of those metal drawers that I've been wanting for ages after seeing them on Kate's blog, a magnetic board (they had no magnetic tins in stock though -boo!), storage boxes, drawer organisers, spice jars, which you can also see in this pic & I can't remember what else. We went on New Year's day & it was pretty much dead, so that made a change from the massive queues at the checkout!

Other things I have managed to spend money on is stuff from Topshop - a cropped blue jumper, shoes that were on sale & 2 new lipsticks. I also decided to buy a new lens for my camera, which hasn't arrived yet, but as you can imagine, £££! So yes, I think spectacularly failed does just about sum it up. Hopefully I can do better in February.

I love Hello Kitty, which you probably already know, so these nail polishes are the cutest thing! They were another gift from Charlotte. I haven't tried them yet, not sure I want to take them out of the packaging haha!

Walter will always be a pretty (grubby) thing, haha ♥ So would the other two, if they sat still for pics, grr!

Because of all the new ikea stuff, I've done some craft room reorganization & tried to make everything look cuter, like this space on top of my mini chest. I love organizing/arranging things, so whilst everyone else in my family might have a tidier/less cluttered room, at least in my cupboards & drawers everything isn't just plonked in :P Jen, a blog reader (hey!) also sent me the necklace pictured, that she made with one of my drawings, how sweet was that?

Isn't this rocking horse ring adorable? Another christmas gift from my Mum, it's so cute & quirky, very me!

Oh & I forgot this in my handmade gift post! It's a hand made handkerchief that I did for my Great Aunt. I machine sewed the actual handkerchief, & then hand embroidered it with her initial, & some flowers! I can now do french knots, yay!

What have you been up to recently?

♥ Fallen Leaves & Fuzzy Jumpers

H&M JUMPER // H&M SKIRT // EVANS COLLAR // CLARKS BROGUES* // EVANS COTTON TIGHTS // ASOS BAG // DOLLY DARLING DEER BROOCH // NEW LOOK VELVET BOW // REPUBLIC RING

Outfit of yesterday. Fuzzy pink jumpers & cotton tights = snuggly George! And eek, cotton tights! I haven't worn cotton tights since I was about 7 years old. Never thought I would find any in my size, but whilst browsing Evans I came across these, & even though I don't normally trust Evans for tights, because the reviews were good I decided to give them a go. They aren't perfect, but they do fit at least! I think being taller (5"9 - I've grown an inch in the last year!) tights fit me less well than shorter people, especially y seamed ones which I have particular issues with.

They are akin to my We Love Colors ones, which I have the same issues with (y seamed & a bit small at upper thigh, & they like to slip down), but they will do. I feel much better about paying £9.50 a pair (& no shipping if you order from style 369!), as opposed to the large customs fees I get when I order from We Love Colors, on top of international shipping & a similar price for the tights themselves. So yay! Needless to say I got them in all 3 colours (berry, grey & black).
