I've been meaning to show you this lace dress for a while now. If you can remember, I posted about it a while back when it came out. It is the peach lace skater dress from Evans, I think they did a black version too. I got the largest size, unfortunately because it is only half sizes, it is slightly big around the arms & waist, so until I get around to tailoring it, I have to belt it. You should definately go down a size if your normal size is grouped with the size higher. It is pretty though, in a vintagey sort of way.

Here are the shoes I posted in my last post, in the black. They really are pretty shoes, & not too high. I got them from the teen section, so they only go up to a size 6, which just happens to be my size (Yes I have small feet for my height.) I really want the other colours now :(

What are your fave recent purchases? Anything you have your eye on? I quite like the new velvet dress that has appeared on ASOS, I just wish it had a velvet bust instead of jersey. And puff sleeves..with a peter pan collar. Although maybe that's too specific? :P

Now these are all things I cannot justify buying, some because of price, one because it simply won't fit *sad face*, the other because I already have one colour. The jewellery pieces here are simply lovely, but way out of my price range. I've had my eye on that ring for ages, and although I fear it would only fit my little finger, I love it! The shoes I've just bought in black, they are lovely, & now I want the navy. Is it strange to buy 2 pairs of the same shoes? The shoes are the only thing I would possibly buy on this list. I so want the cardigan, but unfortunately Topshop does not cater to my size. *grumpy face*

Why Hello!

ASOS Curve

Thought I'd show you my latest purchase from ASOS Curve. It is this dress, in green. Irl it is a more subdued green, a kind of grey green. I really like it, esp all the subtle detailing in lace & crochet. I'm not so keen on the long sleeves, it looks much better with them rolled up. I think this is because the sleeves are huge- even on my chubby arms. I think this dress will be great for the upcoming autumn/winter months, because it is still colourful, without shouting "spring". Definitely a fave with me! Also has pockets, which make it even more of a winner!

I also just checked the website, & they have even more cute dresses up now! I know I must seem a bit obsessed with Curve, but it seriously is the best thing to have happened to fatshion in the last year. It's so nice to have a on trend place to shop, with high quality pieces. I buy most of my clothes from there now!

We Love Colours

Hey everyone! Just wanted to post a quick pic of my new tights that arrived today from We Love Colors. I've tried to get the colours as accurate as possible, they match on my monitor pretty closely. I only tried on once, for size, & they fit me perfectly. I got the EE size, the table said I could technically fit into the E, but I know with tights that bigger is always better. :) I tried on the orchid, which is quite pink when not on, but once on my leg it looks more lilac-y than pink. I haven't tried on the other colours yet, but I will update this when I do, if they look different on.

I am really pleased with them, they are the same kind of texture/thickness as the black tights I have, but it's nice to have other colour options open to me! The only drawback I can find is that they are quite expensive to get imported into the UK, I spent £40 incl shipping for these 4 pairs, & then had to pay £15 at customs, which was annoying. But really, they are only marginally more than the plain black ones I buy, which are £9.50 each incl postage.

I will hopefully have some outfit pictures wearing these soon, which will give you a better idea of what they look like.

Yay, I reached 300 followers!

I've reached over 300 followers, thank you so much to all my readers, followers & commenters! I will be having a giveaway shortly to celebrate. I can assure you that this will be my best giveaway yet, I've found some lovely things to have as prizes, & I will also be including a few of my own diy creations. I know, it's great news that Marc Jacobs will soon be producing plus size fashion, but was anyone else more than a little creeped out by these photographs from their A/W campaign? To me, they look like photographs not dissimilar from those taken of nazi concentration camps. The girls lying down look dead, and I don't think these photos look remotely nostalgic or whimsical, as other bloggers have proclaimed.

Maybe I am just overreacting, what do you think?

Recent purchases

Bracelet - Next Ring - Republic

I don't normally do much in store shopping, I tend to buy nearly everything online. I find it so much easier & much less stressful, plus there's barely anything on the high street for a girl of my size. I don't even have a real Evans store near me, just a tiny section in the local BHS. Anyway, I did go shopping today, but this was all I bought, fashion wise. I did also get some toiletries & some stickers, but that was it. I went into New Look & tried on a couple of things, but none really took my fancy. Oh well! When I got home I ended up buying yet another dress from ASOS! I also bought a black fur collar. I have been wanting one for ages & scouring Ebay & other shops for something remotely like what I was looking for. Then I do my daily check of ASOS & they have a cream & a black one in the exact style I wanted! Yay for ASOS!

I actually can't wait for Winter to arrive, so I can start dressing in all my cute knitwear& layering up. The sunny weather has returned, for now at least, so I was back to wearing summery clothes today. I always find that in Winter, I dream about Summer, and in Summer, I dream about Winter. Something's not right there, lol! Are you looking forward to the colder months, or are you hoping that the warm weather will last longer? Vice versa if you live down under!

Something a little different today - not a pastel or nude in sight! The weather has started getting colder here in England, even though it is only August, so it's becoming easier to wear black without boiling alive, like I would have done a couple of weeks ago. This is the heart mesh top I got from Littlewoods, the skirt is also from Littlewoods.

New nail colour today also - China Glaze's Sugar High with 1 coat of Rainbow over the top. I have also discovered the wonder that is Seche Vite. I bought it because I had been hearing how wonderful it was, so on my last nail polish buying spree I also got a bottle. It really is amazing, it makes my nails so shiny & smooth. The last topcoat I had been using always left bumps showing through, so it is super nice to use something that doesn't!

I also recently bought some lip stain, as I hate the feel of lip gloss/sticks on my lips, so I thought lip stain might be worth a try. This one is Rose Prefere by Bourjois, the colour is subtle, which is perfect for me, because I don't have the best lips for intense colour- they just look strange. This just gives a pretty tint to the colour of my lips, & it's not sticky so I don't even notice I am wearing it.

I do really love this top, even if it is not my usual style. Not that I really have a "usual style", I just like to buy anything fun. :P I love the bow belt on the skirt too, I have wanted one of these patent ones for ages, I lost the one I made up in Wales:( I was a bit worried the skirt might not fit, as most of the South range only goes up to a 24, incl this top & skirt, but it actually fits pretty perfectly. It's a thick knit material, so perfect for colder weather. What have you been wearing recently?

It was raining here today in sunny old England, & about an hour ago this beautiful rainbow appeared, so I snapped a couple of pics. The one posted is actually 2 shots pasted together, as I couldn't get far enough back to fit the whole rainbow in, this was the view from our balcony. No outfit post this time, sorry! I haven't had time to take photos of my most recent outfits, although the other day I did wear a new bunny jumper from Next, which I really must get a photo of next time I wear it, as it is adorable! Nothing much else is happening recently. I found out I am going to North Wales again in September, so that is something to look forward to. I am also going on a jewellery course at college at the end of September, I am really excited/nervous about that.

I haven't been buying as many clothes recently, although I have just placed an order with New look, for some winter accessories & a cute cardigan. I also am waiting (im)patiently for an order I placed from We Love Colors. I ordered 4 pairs of coloured tights, after I had quite a few comments on how my black tights don't work too well with my pastel outfits. I ordered the pastel mint colour, ivory, orchid pink & pale pink. Fingers crossed they will fit & look cute! They are supposed to fit me, but I am a little worried, as I have had other tights that are "supposed" to fit & don't. I.e. Evans tights :(

Oh oh, & also, the heart print mesh t shirt I ordered from the Littlewoods preview arrived the other day, it is soooo cute on, even if my Mum did express shock as she said it wasn't my usual style. She also said it looks a little dancewear-esque, but I don't care, lol! I just buy things I like, regardless of if I have stuff to go with it, or if they match the style of all my other clothes. I'll try & get pics of it soom, I have a feeling it will go really nicely with my Evans pink/black stripey skirt.
