Hey everyone! Just wanted to post a quick pic of my new tights that arrived today from We Love Colors. I've tried to get the colours as accurate as possible, they match on my monitor pretty closely. I only tried on once, for size, & they fit me perfectly. I got the EE size, the table said I could technically fit into the E, but I know with tights that bigger is always better. :) I tried on the orchid, which is quite pink when not on, but once on my leg it looks more lilac-y than pink. I haven't tried on the other colours yet, but I will update this when I do, if they look different on.
I am really pleased with them, they are the same kind of texture/thickness as the black tights I have, but it's nice to have other colour options open to me! The only drawback I can find is that they are quite expensive to get imported into the UK, I spent £40 incl shipping for these 4 pairs, & then had to pay £15 at customs, which was annoying. But really, they are only marginally more than the plain black ones I buy, which are £9.50 each incl postage.
I will hopefully have some outfit pictures wearing these soon, which will give you a better idea of what they look like.

ReplyDeleteGlad you've done a mini review them, I want the ivory ones and maybe the olive green to go with a pair of brown boots I've just bought. Not sure how I feel about having to pay £15 at customs though!

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you got these, I've been debating over whether to get them for months! They're expensive but I've been looking for a good pair of tights for 2 years and at this stage it would be worth the money just for my own sanity!

I did a review of them during the spring and they are SUCH GREAT TIGHTS! For once they are not squishing my bell with that horrendous band like all other tights!

Lovely colours,they match your blog! I'll buy some for myself next month and hopefully it won't be too expensive to import them to south america... my last package from yours cost me more then 30 usd for the handling of the customs procedures!
ReplyDeleteThey are so colorful. I just checked out their website and they seem like a less porno-y version of American Apparel. I think I need new tights now...I don't how to justify the purchase?!
ReplyDeleteLeizal - I'm not sure why customs charges are so much. I know they charge a "handling fee", which is about £7 on top of however much extra they think the import duty should be, & that added together can make quite a hefty charge.
ReplyDeleteStephanie - The leg length for me is fine, but' I'm 5"8, so quite a bit shorter than you I think. They seem to have quite a bit of stretch in them though, so they probably would fit you. Other people have said the leg was really long.
I have nothing short of high praise for We Love Colors. I am in Australia and get a load sent to me a couple of times a year, and they totally rejuvenate my winter wardrobe. The lycra blend ones fit so well and they don't sag or wrinkle at all.

ReplyDeleteI order from we love colours. Started buying the footless tights for my daughter. She loves them. She hates thick tights so these are prefect. I've started buying for myself too. Great quality. Agree the downside is custom charges but most of cost is handling charge. But I think they're worth the cost. Not found a uk equivalent.
