Here's the next gift I've made this Christmas. This is for my other young cousin, who loves Hello Kitty. I made her a playset, which includes lots of little handmade fimo foods, along with a few official figurines & then some other accessories like stickers, plates & teapots, & even a few cushions & a blanket I made. I also made a picnic table out of lollipop sticks.
This set is really meant to go along with the gift my Mum got her, which is a proper Hello Kitty house & some figures. I noticed in the house there was no dining table, so thought I'd make something big enough for all the figures (this seats 6, obviously you can see I've got her 2 & my Mum got her 4) to eat at, as well as a few bits of food. Anyway, I hope she likes it, I am half tempted to keep it haha, I love Hello Kitty myself, those of you that follow my instagram(username cupcakesloveme) might have see the extent of it :P
I am especially pleased with the birthday cake, I've never attempted candles before, but they turned out quite well! There's a wire armature inside, so they wont snap off either. What do you think?

This is wonderful. I love the picnic table especially (I'm a bit of a doll house nut). I was wondering if you used a tutorial or could make one (even a diagram showing how you did the legs would help me)? It's the most ingenious use of lolly sticks I've ever seen =]
ReplyDeleteI didn't use a tut, but I made a quick diagram in PS for you, hope it helps! http://i367.photobucket.com/albums/oo117/missdollymixx/blog%20images/picnictable.jpg

Georgina...you made that?? It looks like something from a super expensive magazine or a movie!! That is incredible!! You should start your own business! I mean it! :)
ReplyDeleteI am going to have to feature you in my blog because this is too great to pass up!! I'm put a link to your blog too!! :D So everyone can know how awesome you are!
P.S. Btw, this is Alejandra, from Musings in Red. I've split my old blog into two: an inspirational blog, "Parasol Dreams", and a book review blog that is just in the makings now! :)
And the reason I'm boring you with all this information is that I'm just letting all the blogs I follow know about my new blog name so that they don't think I've abandoned them. Or that I died. Or some other tragical thing like that. :)
Awwww that sooo cute :D
